3 TIPS ON HOW TO RECOGNIZE A GOOD RECRUITER

With a plethora of staffing companies to choose from in the employment world, how do you recognize a good recruiter and what constitutes “good” anyway?

Good, is competent and skillful or, as in a good person, virtuous and commendable. Ideally, a recruiter should possess all of those attributes. When entrusting someone with the task of helping you find your next permanent or temporary position in a job market where potential employees are viewed as ”human capital”, you will certainly be best served by someone who appreciates your personal characteristics, strengths and goals.

(1). A good recruiter will not only listen to your preferences but honor them, having concern for your interests along with those of the client company.

(2). A good recruiter will sincerely make their best effort to place you in a position that is truly an appropriate fit for both you and the hiring entity and they will treat you with respect and consideration.

(3). A good recruiter will invest the time to establish a relationship with you, communicating with you on a regular basis. Once you have discovered such a person, return the courtesy and be a good candidate, reciprocating the professional deference you are receiving, for it will serve you well throughout your career.
