Gwyneth ‘plays it cold’ in London
Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken out about her life in London to American magazine Marie Claire.
Having left the Big Apple, Gwyneth headed east to pastures new to live with her musician husband, Coldplay’s Chris Martin and their daughter Apple, where they have been living happily in London for the past few years... or so we thought!
Apparently all was not so cheerful in the world of the Oscar winning actress. Recently in an interview with Marie Claire, Gwyneth showed a ‘duller shade of yellow’ towards the United Kingdom and unfortunately the Brits found out!
But if we look at her complaints, we can analyze the seriousness of her disdain for the country she has adopted. Apparently, it rains, now that does not really come as a surprise to anyone! (England is my home nation and I can readily admit that the weather is ‘a touch damp’). View image
Poor customer service, I suppose it could be better but I think that is pretty much true wherever you are in the world!
So nothing that serious really…I personally am not upset with the slander of my home nation. I feel the most impressive aspect of this whole affair is the influence and the power of the media and PR.
Of course I should add that the article was not published in the UK edition of Marie Claire… Heaven forbid, somehow the news might just leak back across the Atlantic!
So have these negative comments affected attitudes towards Gwyneth in the UK? More importantly did she really think that no one was going to find out? But then, does anyone really care?
News travels fast! Especially when you are one of the world’s biggest film stars, your husband is the lead vocalist for one of the most popular bands in the world and your child is named after a fruit. View image
