Studies prove that women talk more than men (No Kidding)

I know a certain someone (aka my boss) who can attest to the fact that the above title is true. You are probably looking at the most talkative person you will ever meet: yours truly. It’s something I’ve had a problem with for a very long time, I just can’t seem to stop talking, even when I have nothing to talk about.

It’s not really an issue for me, per say, as it is for those around me who may not have a bottle of Tylenol handy. However, a study recently showed that women are indeed three times more talkative than men. It’s really no big surprise since women are always deemed to be chatty, but a book written by Dr. Luan Brizendine who aggregated 1000 scientific studies to come up with her theory behind “The Female Mind,” says that women’s need to talk is biological and is set inutero.

She also explains that when it comes to men, testosterone reduces the size of the section of the brain involved in hearing, allowing men to become "deaf" to hearing what their wives or girlfriends have to say. Many women will not be surprised at all and most likely will have an “ah-ha” moment upon hearing such an explanation.

We didn’t really need anyone to do a study on this to prove it’s true though did we?
