It Cost $4K To Start A "Mini-Riot," How Much Is A Hug Worth?

smile.jpg

Have you ever noticed North Easterners, New York especially, are portrayed as busy, uncompassionate people? So last week when three men from Britain, dressed as Robin Hood and his Merry Men, walked into Manhattan's Washington Square Park with a megaphone and threw $4000 into the air, they expected compassion and peace on earth by their act of unselfish love. Instead, they got crazed New Yorker’s lurching for free money and pushing and shoving each other.

I’m not sure how throwing money into the air will change the world, or New York, but if you want to give money away in hopes that it will help others here is one option. I know it's cliche, but sometimes a hug, a smile, an "I love you" can change someones day in a way $50 bucks in a tube or $2K for a pair of shoes ever will. Some of the best things in life are still free.
