Silence of the Groundhogs

Jodie Foster came out of hibernation for a rare public appearance Monday night. The Academy Award Winner, who is often referred to as the “Modern Garbo,” because of her reclusive nature, reports the NY Post’s Page Six, attended Elle Décor’s Dining by Design, an ongoing fund-raiser for AIDS, organized by DIFFA. Eye witnesses said that Foster appeared to have a wonderful time, a great sign that spring is just around the corner.

Foster, who forked over $500 for the event [that took place at Waterfront – formerly Tunnel], sat with old buddy and Yale alumnus, Marco Pasanella, who also created a table for the event. Page Six reports that he was also once rumored to be the father of her 8-year-old son, Charles, though Foster has never revealed how she became pregnant.

Also in attendance were DIFFA chairman David Rockwell, Pierce Mattie client Norma Kamali, Jane Seymour and hostess Margaret Russell.

I’m sure it was a fabulous affair. I’ve attended these soirees in the past for my client and DIFFA patron HOMMAGE, a design company that creates luxury shaving equipment from world-renowned designer, Wolfgang Joensson.

Make sure to check Jodie Foster out in her new film, Inside Man, which opens in theatres nationwide on March 24th.
