My combination skin drives me insane sometimes with the shine being the bain of my existance. I am always on the hunt for a product that actually works, as I have tried many that don't live up to their claims. A friend recently told me about Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Daily Mattifying Lotion that I am thinking of trying. Paula's Choice is of course the brand by Paula Begoun, author of those widely popular beauty books--The Beauty Bible and Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me to name a few.
This lotion is said to be good for combination skin and also offers an SPF of 15 and antioxidants for skin care. From the website, Paula describes the benefits of this product:
* Leaves a weightless, shine-free finish and contains absorbent ingredients to help keep oily areas matte and looking fresh for hours
* Contains efficacious, potent antioxidants and cell-communicating ingredients to balance and optimize normal to oily and combination skin
* Perfect to wear under foundation or powder
* Provides excellent daily sun protection
* 100% fragrance- and colorant-free
Instead of my normal routine of applying a moisturizer then laying on a shine control product, I would love to be able to just kill two birds with one stone by using a product that is a moisturizer and a mattifier in one. Most especially with warmer weather on the way, there is only so many different products I want to be putting on my face at once.
Have you used this product? Let me know what you thought of it.
