What do you use on your face? Skingenic!

I was grabbing my usual morning cup of java the other day at my favorite local café in LA when a lady and her teenage daughter stopped me in my tracks and demanded to know what I use on my skin. Caught off guard by the beauty inquisition from the mother/daughter duo, a flashback of my bathroom medicine cabinet quickly came to me and I immediately blurted the word, “Skingenic!”

As soon as I uttered the name, the pair wanted to know everything about it, including where they can find it, what I love about the products and the condition of my skin before using the line. Skingenic is a new line of results-oriented skincare that fuzes modern science with Mother nature. The line has an exclusive and patented ingredient called The Lychee Complex (from the lychee fruit found in Asia) which is not found in any other skincare product, and is the reason behind the youthful complexions of Asian women. I told the gals my favorites are the luxurious moisturizers and eye creams which I love to use in the morning and before bedtime. Both of them hung on intently to every word I said, mentally taking notes of my recommendations and then thanked me profusely for my time.

Leaving the café, I giggled at what had just occurred to me at only 8am in the morning. In a city like Los Angeles, no matter what time of day, people are always interested in knowing what other people use to make themselves look and feel good. Having been a Los Angeleno for over ten years now, I’m glad to say I have given plenty back to my community by just sharing my beauty rituals and secrets with complete strangers.
